During Week Three, Sprouts campers explore the theme of Wood through building, balance, and skillful practice. In From Shelter to Sculpture, children design and build simple forts using found wood and natural materials, learning about structure, stability, and teamwork before shifting to smaller wood pieces to create assemblage sculptures that show how many parts can come together to form a meaningful whole. In Kendama, a traditional Japanese skill toy using a wooden ball and cup-and-spike tool, campers practice basic to intermediate techniques that build coordination, focus, patience, and a sense of steady growth through repeated practice.
