Nature Watercolor & Flower Pressing with Atula Sakhi

Join Ms. Atula in creating nature-inspired watercolor art. We will dive deep into nature magic as we explore painting with watercolor, flower pressing, paper making, and eco-printing inspired by what we see in full garden bloom. We will spend early mornings in the garden, identifying herbs, flowers, and plants, and capturing their beauty in our artwork. At the end of our time together, campers will have a lovely collection of pressed flowers, hand-made paper, and eco prints, as well as botanical watercolor art. 

Atula Sakhi has had a life-long passion for the arts. She had a career in the world of fashion before she began teaching art classes to children. Atula and her family moved to Chapel Hill in 2019 for friends and community. She previously served as art director for a local private school and currently teaches at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro, as well as leading art clubs at the Expedition School in Hillsborough.
