Registration for this schedule starts on 01/14/2025 and ends on 07/21/2025
Participants must be 8 years to 12 years old when the program starts.
Join Ms. Atula in exploring the world of herbs and the ways in which they can be used! From herbal sun oils & creating herbal tea blends to salves & sachets, we will learn how to create herbal magic. In the mornings we will spend time in the garden learning about the plants known for their medicinal properties and use them in our creations. Our afternoons will be spent with our elbows in alchemy. Together we will soak up the wisdom quite literally and each day bring home a little bit of something special. Atula Sakhi has had a life-long passion for the arts. She had a career in the world of fashion before she began teaching art classes to children. Atula and her family moved to Chapel Hill in 2019 for friends and community. She previously served as art director for a local private school and currently teaches at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro, as well as leading art clubs at the Expedition School in Hillsborough.
