A bicycle doesn’t seem like a simple machine, but with a few tricks and some common tools, you can fix and build your own! Join Elias “Mr. G” Gross for a hands-on journey through basic bicycle mechanics. Students will learn how to strip a bicycle down to its component parts and build a working bicycle from the frame up. Students will learn how to use common bicycle tools safely and will learn how to diagnose common bicycle problems. Students will test out their new bikes on campus at the end of camp and can choose to keep or donate their finished project. This camp will include two field trips to the Recyclery in Chapel Hill. Please pick up your camper on the last day of camp in a vehicle large enough to take a bicycle home!
Please contact Emerson Waldorf School if you have any questions.
